We have been super busy here lately. The husband was out-of-town, we had 2 sets of company, started my oldest son’s science project and made a Pinewood Derby car. I am really behind on answering emails…but I will get to them!
My son designed an awesome Pinewood Derby car, but unfortunately it was not one of our faster versions this year! He was a little sad, but perked right up when he saw the treats that were handed out along with the awards!
I thought the treats were very clever. They are twinkies (still in the wrapper) with Oreos for the wheels. I thought I would share them with the rest of you in case any of you are looking for something for your own son’s Pinewood Derby.

Were you nervous? They want me to come on next month and I am already freaking out! You did a wonderful tutorial!

I have never been so happy to see something at the right time as this! I am the primary president in our ward, but we just got new scout masters, leaders, oh yeah and I got a new 2nd councilor sunday…So for our pine wood derby THIS week I am making the treats! Now I know what I am going to make! I usually seem to find stuff like this right after the fact :-) Love your blog!

Cute treats! We don't have any Pinewood Derbies in our future but I'm sure I could put some of those together for my husband and he'd think he died and went to heaven!

I plan to use your idea for next year. Thanks for sharing. I wish I could facebook this…Do you know how or are you protected…

Thanks for the idea–we will be using it this month. Can I ask why you left the Twinkie in the wrapper?
