With the arrival of Season 3 this past Thursday, EA released a batch of new Legendary Strategy items in Madden Ultimate Team 23. Every Epic Tier (Purple) Strategy item from Season 2 now has a Legendary Tier (Gold) version with increased boosts and x2 Components for bonus chemistry, which allows you to unlock the bonus boost without pairing two different Epic Strategy items with matching x1 bonus chem symbols. We are also seeing the debut of 4 brand-new types of Strategy items: In The Trenches (OL), Sprinter (HB/WR/QB), Finesse (DL), and Slot Specialist (DB).
We also have the following 4 new "bonus" chemistries that can only be found on Legendary Tier Strategy Items: Finesse (DL get +1 PUR), Power (OL get +1 STR), Slot (DB get +1 ZCV), and Sprinter (QB/WR/HB get +1 ACC). "Bonus" chemistries are the 2nd symbol you see on Epic and Legendary Strategy items that grant a +1 boost to a specific rating. Epic items need matching bonus chems in order to receive the boost as they only account for 1 of the 2 required Components, but since Legendary items have x2 Components, you will automatically receive the +1 rating boost without having to match symbols.
Finally, EA has added a new Rare+ Strategy Item Pack in the Store that costs 40,000 Coins and contains 1 Rare or better Strategy Item. The arrival of this pack should help increase the supply of Legendary Strategy Items, resulting in lower prices than what we've seen over the past few days.

Chem Boosts
Legendary Strategy items (Gold) in MUT have 28 variations with a different bonus chem boost on each. If you remember the bonus chem boosts from Epic items in Season 2, they needed to be paired with another Strategy item with the same bonus symbol in order to receive the +1 boost. However, Legendary Strategy items account for x2 chemistry and allow you to receive the bonus boost from just 1 Legendary Strategy item.
Edit: You can not stack 2 of the same chem boosts on 2 different Legendary Strategy Items in an attempt to get +2 of the same rating. +1 is the maximum boost that can be gained from 1 type of bonus chem boost.

How to Get Legendary Strategy Items
Since there is no Training Variety Pack or Legendary Strat Item Exchange Set available at the time this article was written, Legendary Strategy Items can only be earned by getting a lucky pull from a Strategy Reward Pack, pulling them from the 4,000 or new 40,000 Coin Strategy Item Packs in the Store, or by purchasing them from the Auction House. Due to these items being brand new and there being a limited supply, prices for Legendary Strategy items are quite high right now. Hopefully, the new Rare+ Strategy Item Pack in the Store today will make these new Strat items more affordable!
